Regional Competition
What is the Regional Competition?
FBLA Regional Competitions, often referred to as Regionals, is a competition between local chapters of FBLA in our North Central region of New Jersey. The Regional Competitions consist of many different business-related events, ranging from taking tests on business law to math, to trivia, or to computer science. Tests are administered in the High School. Members are strongly encouraged to study and prepare for their events to do the best they can. Study guides are available upon request. See an officer to request a copy.
Why compete?
- You can win prizes, awards, recognition
- You can progress to the state leadership conference
- To go to the State Leadership Conference, you must compete at Regionals or compete on a State level
- Points are given, meaning a bigger discount, and a better shot at the Quarterly Member Award
- It can teach you something new about a topic you find interesting
- It's a great chance to work with teammates for team events
How does testing and scoring work?
Any member or group of members that signs up to take a test will be assigned a designated testing day to take their exams. In case a member cannot take the test one day, there are two testing dates designed. All test takers must be in business attire for the duration of their tests. If your attire is not approved by the proctor, you will not be allowed to take your test (no refunds).
Tests are administered after school in D215 or TBD on computers. Instructions are given by the proctors, and the competitors are then allowed to begin their exams. Results for the exams are given out approximately two weeks after the exam dates.
