Rules and Conduct in FBLA
Why do we maintain guidelines for conduct?
FBLA is one of the most highly respected clubs in all of Piscataway High School. We have a stellar, spotless reputation of conduct and service to the community. We owe this reputation to our members, whose conduct and actions are the defining factor in our club's reputation and service.
By maintaining guidelines for behavior and conduct during events and community service projects, FBLA ensures that all of its members know what to do and how to maintain our sterling reputation.

Event &Project Guidelines
While at events such as Mission: Life and the State Leadership Conference, each member of FBLA represents their club through their conduct. During an event, it is important for members to maintain professionalism and good behavior. Although giving off a good impression is important, we don't expect everyone to be robots. Having fun at events is an inherent part of the events themselves, and members are encouraged to enjoy themselves, within reason.
While at an event, it is important to maintain professionalism and charisma. Minding things such as language and behavior is essential, and should be kept in mind at all times. While volunteering at an event, members should not break any rules of the establishments themselves, nor should they display poor manners or conduct.

The Taco Bell Rule
Instituted in the 2013-2014 school year by President Divas Singh, the Taco Bell Rule is one of the most important rules to follow while volunteering at an event. In short, it stipulates that anyone who signs up for volunteering at an event and then fails to appear will suffer major point deductions. Furthermore, attending and volunteering at an event and then leaving before the event is finished will also result in a harsh point deduction.
Exceptions to the rule include emergencies, or being excused by an event director or officer. Though the point deduction varies depending on how important the member's attendance was, the standard point deduction is -15 points.
