About the Mission: Life Charity Basketball Game
What is it?
The Mission: Life Charity Basketball Game is FBLA's largest and most important event. We host it each year in the Anthony Wing Gymnasium to raise money for a local charity. The event consists of the Teachers vs. Students game, the halftime entertainment, and selling food and drinks to attendees. Prior years have raised over $20,000 for various groups such as the F.I.S.H Hospitality Program, Ronald McDonald House Charity, Piscataway Special Olympics Team, and others.
Why do we do it?
The Mission: Life game is our most significant service project/event. Piscataway FBLA undertakes this massive event in order to raise a large amount of money to help charities and groups in our community. The money raised from Mission: Life has a significant, far-reaching positive impact on Piscataway and New Jersey, obligating Piscataway FBLA to step up and raise it.
When and where is it?
The game is held in March/April each year, and takes place in the Anthony Wing. The game itself occurs in the Anthony Gym, while food and drinks are sold in the Anthony Respect Hallway. This year the event will be on April 20th.
Why should you do it?
Volunteering at Mission: Life is essential to Piscataway FBLA. By helping with Mission: Life, you are actively taking part in supporting major charities within Piscataway and New Jersey. Furthermore, volunteering on different committees, or leading one, provides valuable teamwork, fundraising, organizing, and leadership experience. The aid of our members is essential in being a force for good with the Mission: Life game.
